Olivier Benoit
Actor / Director
Student of Jacques Lecoq (1993-1995).
Together with 9 ex-students, he created the Bantam Théâtre Company, participating in three productions, as an actor in "Tierra en los zapatos" (1996) and as director in "Not Here" (1997) and "‘Alice" (1997).
After a brief collaboration with La Fura dels Baus on the production "‘Manes" he entered the Jordi Bertran Theatre Company where, substituting Jordi Bertran himself, he was initiated into the art of object manipulation with "Poemes visuals" (1998-2001). It is the same Jordi Bertran with whom he created "The Miser" before founding, in 2003, the Tàbola Rassa Theatre Company, where he occupies the roles of actor and director.
Since June 2000 he has worked as an actor in the Toni Albà Theatre Company, in "Brams, or the Komedy of Errors", by Toni Albà and Sergi Lopez.
He has also directed productions for the Paraíso Theatre Company in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Basque Country), "Cuidad Salvaje" and "Buen provecho" (2003).
He is currently directing the latest production of the Teatre Mòbil in Manresa, Catalonia.
